Everybody Needs Somebody Sometimes

$600.00

Part of Lettie Jane's large-scale drawing series from the Suttle Lodge Artist Residency, "Rabbits Are Crepuscular."

Crepuscular—a word drawn from the Latin word for “twilight”—is a term for animals that are active primarily at dawn and dusk. Rabbits are active at this time to avoid predators.

The intricate patterns in this body of work are a metaphor for the many ways we humans may compartmentalize or categorize ourselves to get along in the world. We are all made of many puzzle pieces and may look different from different angles or in different environments.

Like the cautious rabbit, we are looking for the best way to meet our needs.
